My Journey

I identify as a lifelong spiritual seeker, empath and intuit. I do nothing in halves! Whether it is spiritual study, personal healing or raising my kids, I am all in. I have spent years in the trenches facing my traumatic past and my own egoic shadow.

My inner personal journey as well as 25 years of studying religion, spirituality, and human consciousness has brought me to a beautiful and profound understanding — that what I was seeking was really just one turn away. A turn inward, right there inside me. The Divine is not something that I have to seek outside myself but is actually my very essence. And the essence of all things.

My passions in the world include Earth based practices, ceremony and ritual and heart-centered self enquiry. I create offerings in the world that invite us into slowness, stillness and a turning inward. From this place of intuition and the Spiritual Heart, we can build connection, community, creative expression and authenticity that is radical. My heart and soul are committed to Liberatory practices and Radical Dharma* that deconstruct the systems of oppression that we live in. My deepest desire is to tap my full spiritual and creative potential within community — and to have an impact of Love in our world!

LIVING LINEAGES

I consider living lineages to be those that I have both studied intellectually (Svadhyaya) but more importantly live in my heart. They are my embodied living lineages. These aren’t just lineages, they are the human souls in this world that, through their surrender to the Divine, have guided me back to a remembrance of who I am and to what can come through me into the world. I pray that each one of these spiritual warriors is surrounded with love, care and support for the work they are doing in the world and the work that lies ahead of us all.

HRIDAYA YOGA & TANTRA

GRACE BRYANT - Grace has been studying and teaching Yoga since 2007. I began my Hridaya and Tantra journey with Grace in 2019 at my first silent retreat. I had a long drink at the spiritual well of Hridaya before I took a long and arduous detour that led me through a very dark time. I returned 4 years later with a tattered heart and seeking the truth of who I am. I have been studying and practicing with Grace ever since. Through Hridaya Northwest silent retreats, two years of Tantra Immersion and a yearlong facilitators training, I have not only grown immensely but have consolidated decades of spiritual learning. Hatha Yoga, Hridaya Mediation, Self-Enquiry and Karma Yoga have become an embodied core practices for me. Grace has been both a spiritual mentor and humble teacher — gently guiding me with the Hridaya teachings of Sahajananda and Ramana Maharshi rooted in Kashmir Shaivism and Advaita Vedanta (Non-dual Tantra). On this journey with Grace, Non-Dual Liberatory practices have changed the way I relate to this dumpster fire of a world and given me a sense of peace in a very difficult time in our history. While I have only scratched the surface of understanding what Tantra and what it is not, I know that the beautiful Tantric practice of finding the sacred in the mundane has irreparably changed me. I am grateful every day for finding a mentor that has helped me heal my heart and my relationship with Spirituality. Read more about Grace.

SHAMANISM

KATY PAVLIS - The gifts and lineages of Katy Pavlis are far to numerous to name. She has been both a Shamanic healer and spiritual mentor in my life for over 10 years. I participated in her Four Pillars Ceremonialism training in 2021. My experiences with her formed the foundation for my healing and coming home to myself. https://www.wakingtosoul.com/katy

BETSY BERGSTROM - I trained under Betsy in Compassionate Depossession and Curse/Thought Form Unraveling. She is steeped in the Nordic traditions and carries many lineages. I have not only received personal healing through these ceremonies but it has shifted my understanding of the human experience profoundly. https://www.spirit-wise.com/betsy-bergstrom

PSYCHOLOGY

IFS Trained Practitioner - There were those who said that Buddhism would come to the West through psychology which definitely came to fruition. One of those psychological modalities is Internal family systems. However, it is a direct parallel to the Buddhist teachings of Thích Nhất Hạnh, Allione Tsultrim and many others. Buddhist lineages have had practices centered in care and compassion for our inner parts for a very long time — long before IFS was created by Dick Schwartz. IFS served its purpose in my life and in many of my clients lives by shedding light on the true nature of the Self. It started me on a spiritual path that led me to Hridaya and Non-Dual Libratory Tantra. Yet, I choose to honor the lineages that existed ages before they were colonized by white men and Western psychology. Much gratitude to those who have gone before and shown us how to do the courageous work of going inward and facing our inner selves, our ego and the ego.

DR. CHUCK SMITH - I am sure Chuck would be very surprised to learn that he was instrumental to the beginning of my spiritual path. He was my mentor during my first clinical round at Bastyr Clinic. His encouragement and loving spirit was more impactful than much of what he taught me. His course in Psychosynthesis resonated so deeply and set the stage for my spiritual journey ahead. He will forever be in my heart. He carries the lineages of Psychosynthesis, studying under Dr. Edith Stauffer and of Yoga, from his Guru and teacher Master K. Parvathi Kumar OF Vishakhapatnam.

TAROT

LINDSAY MACK at Tarot for the Wild Soul - I took my first Tarot class from Lindsey 6 years ago. I have considered her a teacher-from-afar ever since. I have learned Soul Tarot (I still consider myself a novice!) in a heart-centered way, in a Jungian way, in a way that honors our experience and who we truly are as humans. It is very much a part of my spiritual practice that anchors me to my truth and intuition. Very grateful every day for heart-centered humans like Lindsay doing sacred work that impacts my life everyday.

LAND & CULTURE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I acknowledge that my home is on and my offerings in the world are created on the unceded ancestral lands of the Coast Salish Nations whose people still steward this land today. The Duwamish and Suquamish people, many of whom still fight for Federal recognition, continue to honor and bring to light their ancient heritage. I acknowledge that the land colonially known as Washington State and the city of Seattle hold a living history of these diverse peoples. I honor Chief Si’ahl (1780-1866) who was an ambassador of peace, an advocate for the Indigenous People and the namesake of the city that I live in, Seattle.

I acknowledge that the traditions and lineages that I embody (see Lineages above) come from cultures that have practiced the traditions of Tantra, Yoga, Shamanism and Tarot for thousands of years. They have come to me, a white privileged female through the filter of patriarchy, capitalism and colonization. I endeavor to carefully consider any traditions and practices that I bring to others with the heartfelt desire to shift the pattern of appropriation to appreciation. I take my lineages seriously and desire for them to be treated with respect and care.

I honor the tradition of Tantra Yoga that comes from the Indian subcontinent and is at least 1000 years old, with roots 3000+ years old.

I honor the Shamanic traditions of the Nordic, Germanic and Celtic people who carried Earth practices for centuries. I offer gratitude to those who have walked the path of Shaman and the teachers that carry the lineage I now hold.

I honor the legacy of the Roma and Romani Tarot readers and the persecution that they endured for their practices of cartomancy.
